I have successfully implemented an audio player for the Gridbox but it will be nice to have it as default. I was able to repurposing the Video Source File plugin with custom CSS, I’ve enabled a seamless, lightweight audio interface with automatic metadata Integrated using getID3 library to automatically pull titles and cover art directly from the audio files. Users can simply upload an MP3; no extra settings or thumbnail uploads are required, the audio can have all that. Now if you can have a much bette control on this approach it will be great. So far is fully compatible with the existing Gridbox framework. See images.
