For Gridbox 3, I would like to request these important features:
1. Better Dashboard for Users especially for directory users. The user dashboard should be customizable for the service providers and for users too. Likely features for user dashboards can be:
1. Profile & Account Management
- Allows users to easily update their personal or business information (name, photo, logo, contact, bio, password, etc.). A clean layout with editable sections makes users feel in control of their data and identity.
2. Subscription & Billing Overview
- Displays the user’s current plan, billing cycle, renewal date, and payment history. Includes quick actions to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel subscriptions and view invoices — ensuring transparency and convenience.
3. Performance Analytics
- Shows clear insights into how the user’s listings or activities are performing (e.g., profile views, leads, clicks, messages, conversion rates). Graphs and metrics help users measure ROI and engagement at a glance.
4. Listing or Content Management
Central area where users can add, edit, or delete listings (or products, services, articles). Includes status indicators like “pending approval,” “live,” or “expired,” making content control simple and intuitive.
5. Messages & Inquiries
Built-in inbox for users to view and reply to messages, leads, or booking requests directly from the dashboard for listing owners. Keeps all communications organized and prevents missed opportunities.
6. Notifications & Alerts
- Smart notifications for new leads, expiring subscriptions, approval updates, or payment reminders. Helps users stay informed without needing to check emails constantly.
7. Reviews & Ratings Management
- Shows feedback received from other users or clients, with options to respond or request reviews. Builds trust and allows users to manage their online reputation from one place.
8. Support & Help Center Access
- Quick links to support tickets, FAQs, or chat assistance directly from the dashboard. Ensures users can resolve issues or get help without leaving the platform.
9. Document & File Management
- Lets users upload and manage files (contracts, images, PDFs, certificates). Helpful for professionals or businesses that need to maintain verifiable credentials or resources.
10. Activity Timeline or Recent Actions
- Displays a chronological list of recent actions — edits, logins, payments, messages, or approvals. Increases transparency and helps users track what’s happening with their account or listings.
Other features:
1. Nested Location Selection Features in Forms
Nested Field Selection features for Forms for 100s of locations. I suggest adding nested locations in the forms too if that's not incorporated yet. From my past experiences creating a directory, there's no nested sub location options. For example: If I want to select USA, I need to move through 180 plus countries and hundreds of sub locations to finally select USA or any other sub locations.
Perhaps an easier option would be a dedicated drop down for a countries, states and sub locations.
2. Recurring Payment Solutions for Subscription Based payments that debits subscription amount directly if it is not already there.
3. Ability to edit and customize how the listing appears especially adding custom elements like mutiple tags, buttons, colors, pointers..symbols, texts...unique colors and any elements other than the existing fields.
4. One click social logins if we don't already have that.
6. Modular search customization where every elements of the forms should be searchable.
